Dispersive analysis of the form factors in semi-leptonic decays: a new model-independent parametrization

Dispersiverelations can be used as a model-independent approach to study the hadronicform factors in the semi-leptonic decay. Based on dispersive techniques, wehave proposed a new parametrization for the form factors in the $\bar{B}\toD\ell\bar{\nu}_\ell$ decay. In this parametrization, the pertinent coefficientsare related to $\bar{B}\bar{D}$ phase shifts by sumrule-like relations andhence called phase moments, which encode important scattering information ofthe $\bar{B}\bar{D}$ interactions. Currently-existing experimental and latticeQCD data can be well described by this parametrization, leading to a precisedetermination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$.
